The Cygmus Waltz

400 lightyears from our lonely planet,
A starry couple write sonnets of Cygmus.
Secret smiles shine through the night.
Both large, and dazzling, fusive, and bright.

With locked eyes they each circle the other.
Reached hands of the star-crossed lover.
With their backs to the chaos of the cosmos,
They dance, without fear, for the universe.

From our galaxy we watch the soirée.
Eternity without intermission.
Love’s gravity draws tighter each day.
Distant lovers, destined together, always.
